I’ve spent my life in Newnan, and I care deeply about the future of our city. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to help Newnan improve while keeping it the kind of community where young families want to live, work, and thrive.

My promise is to keep bringing fresh ideas and proven leadership to City Council, making sure Newnan remains a safe, vibrant, and welcoming place for generations to come.

Newnan has become a destination, and I’m proud to have helped with that.

Our downtown is the heart of Newnan, and I’ll keep working hard to see it thrive

Improving Livability

Downtown Newnan stays active and prosperous through the work of the city council. As a part of that council, I’ve advocated and supported Newnan renovating the Carnegie Library as well as modernizing ordinances to allow for new downtown business and restaurants to succeed. We’ve increased family events to bring people downtown over the years- including monthly farmers markets, holiday parades, bike races, and more. I’m excited to continue advancing the redevelopment of 57 East Broad, which will bring downtown a hotel, food court, retail, and office space. This project will expand opportunities for residents and make downtown continue to be attractive to citizens and visitors.

From the LINC trail and pickleball complex to the skate park and dog park, we’ve expanded recreational opportunities that make life better for families and keep young people here. We’ve renovated Picket Field and Lynch Park Swimming Pool and developed the Newnan Centre for conferences, community programs and events, and  I advocated for the University of West Georgia campus relocation to downtown and the conversion of the old Newnan Hospital into a UWG–Newnan campus, strengthening our community and bringing new educational and healthcare career opportunities to our citizens.

Improving Transportation

Traffic is one of our city’s biggest challenges, and I’ve worked to find solutions that make our streets safer and more efficient. Roundabouts, new pedestrian-friendly pathways, repaved roads, lowered downtown speed limits, and additional street lighting have improved safety and eased congestion. I will continue supporting projects like the Andrew Street connection to Bullsboro Drive and improvements at the Clark–Jefferson–Jackson intersection. I’m also committed to making Newnan more bicycle-friendly for residents of all ages.

Supporting Public Safety

We are fortunate to have outstanding police officers and firefighters who keep Newnan safe. I’ve supported modernization of our public safety infrastructure, including the Newnan Justice Center and a new fire station. I’m committed to ensuring they have the equipment, facilities, personnel, training, and technology they need to do their jobs well. New technology in particular is a game-changer, and I will continue working to bring the best tools and resources to our public safety teams.
